The Commentary

The Commentary is California Western School of Law’s student owned and operated newspaper and journal. It is funded directly by the student, via SBA funds and is now produced monthly for your consumption. The newspaper was founded in 1973 and is published every month, serving to provide students and faculty with an outlet for news and opinions that are of importance and interest to the law school community. In 2016-2017, Editor-in-Chief D. Andrew Lajoie and Associate Editor Shaian Mohammadi revamped the newspaper to fit a 21st century audience, bringing in more controversial columns, and issues of the day with touches of humor, controversy, and sarcasm. If you would like to get involved with the paper, or have a great story or story idea to share, please e-mail or speak with any of the staff when you see them on campus.
