IMLS Focuses on the practice of immigration law and the implications and effects these policies have on our society. IMLS works to promote critical discussion and create spaces for students to engage in holistic, culturally competent, and social justice immigration experience. We work with the immigration legal community to help connect students with practitioners through various roundtable, panel, and speaker events.
IMLS bridges CWSL to the community while giving students practical legal experience by organizing students to volunteer at free immigration and citizenship clinics sponsored by local non-profit organizations. IMLS is dedicated to encouraging active membership involvement on campus and in the community and invites interdisciplinary conversations that focus on the intersectionalities of race, gender, sexuality, class, and national origin. IMLS seeks to make significant contributions to the solution of immigration problems in our community, our society, and our world.
